The future is bright for international students in Canada

Diana Tristan

Before the pandemic, Canada received an average of 27,000 students from Mexico each year, according to Canadian Ambassador to Mexico Graeme C. Clark in an interview with adn40 news channel.

The Ambassador sees an excellent outlook for Mexican students, as Canada is taking all the necessary measures for a safe return to universities this fall and next year.

Young people interested in studying at any of the universities or colleges in Canada can begin their application process or extend their study permit and explore the possibilities of working while studying or after graduation.

For those students who submitted their complete study permit application (including results of their immigration medical exams and biometrics) by May 15, 2021, they must obtain a decision by August 6, 2021, in time to attend the fall semester.

Applications submitted after May 15, 2021 will be processed as quickly as possible, but the Government of Canada cannot guarantee a final decision before the fall semester begins.
